Haha time

Liam really wanted to go 'somewhere' yesterday...staying home was going to be boring apparently. We called Haha (grandma, by the way) and he asked her if she could play today (he was mouthing the words, "please, please, please" as he awaited her response). She wasn't available until later in the afternoon but that worked for him.

As we drove to her house he began asking me if I was going to be staying with them. I said that I needed to do some grocery shopping but I could do that at the beginning and then stay for awhile afterward or I could stay and visit for awhile and do the shopping at the end. He preferred that I go shopping first. We picked up some chicken nuggets for him on the way so he said I could stay and have a cup of tea with Haha as he ate. This was 'his time' so I wanted to give him the option...no he is not the boss! He finished before we even had begun drinking our tea and he asked how long I would be. Haha said it would be about 10 minutes. He looked disappointed by that and she said, "do you want me to set the timer?" He said 'yes'! So I was "allowed" to stay until the timer buzzed. :-) The entire time he snuggled on my lap. Haha asked, since he did want this time with her, if he wanted to sit on her lap but no, if mom is there she gets the cuddles. It's not until I'm gone that she's able to get his full attention. :-)

He is such a cuddle bug. We are always suprised at his 'loviness' since he was not that way, at all, as a toddler. He would give you a smooch or a hug but then he was off, he didnt' want to sit on a lap for any length of time. I guess he is making up for it now, and that's perfectly fine with me!

Voila!

Notice I did NOT say "Viola!" That always makes me crazy! I'm not hollering for the waitress at the Denny's down the street...I'm exclaiming! I don't know how many times I've seen people spell it that way.

I've just created my first blog entry! How hip and high tech of me. My friend, Louise, gave me the info and inspiration to get this going...Thanks Louise!! I hope I do as good a job as you of keeping up with it. I know there are so many wonderful moments in life that I am missing by not making note of them so this is an awesome way of keeping those memories alive.

I have just returned from a "croptoberfest"...12 hours of scrapbooking! Louise and I had a great time although I think I talked her ear off and kept her from getting another 10 pages done...she is so efficient and powers through those pages...she's an inspiration. I was happy to get 4 small 7x7 pages done! It was a fantastic day and it went by far too quickly.
